MISSION

The mission of Human Service Resources Inc. (HSRI) is to provide world-class global services in educational enrichment, personal and career development, and violence prevention for youth; job and financial literacy for low income and underserved populations; and promote global literacy.

GOALS

HSRI goals are exclusively educational and charitable, namely:To consult and provide services to at-risk early childhood, youth and families.

To provide capacity building services to community agencies providing services to at-risk populations.

To consult and provide educational enrichment and job literacy services to youth and adults. 

To provide youth and young adults with educational and career opportunity referral services.

To consult, develop and provide mentoring programs for at-risk youth in order to reduce violence.

To partner with organizations that serve at-risk populations for seamless continuum of service.

To solicit and donate books and educational materials to schools and communities in Africa.

To work collaboratively with and support the efforts of organizations which share our vision and mission.

SERVICES

 We provide direct services in literacy and education in the USA and Africa. We also engage in philanthropy related to community education, literacy, health & social development.

- Literacy: We are experienced in providing literacy and capacity building support to pre-school, school-age, youth, and adult programs including organizational diagnosis, curriculum development and alignment with goals, program design and evaluation, and best practice recommendations.  We provide direct services to clients and collaborate with community & faith-based organizations to build capacity, develop, implement, and evaluate youth and after-school programs in the following component areas:

    Academic Tutoring - School Bonding - Personal Development – Mentoring - Career Awareness - Violence Prevention - Family Bonding - Cultural Identity & Diversity - Personal Health & Wellness - Adult Job Literacy - Job Readiness - Financial Literacy - Entrepreneurship

-  Philanthropy: Our focus is on global literacy for underserved children, youth, adults, and communities in USA and Africa.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Stephen Aghahowa, MA, M.Th, D.Min. [Preventive Services]. Rev. Dr. Aghahowa is a Clinical Therapist/Mental Health Specialist who brings pastoral compassion to social service care for at-risk populations. He has worked with at-risk populations in such capacities as Counselor, Child Welfare Specialist, Clinical Therapist, and Mental Health Specialist. He is a qualified Central Management Services provider in Illinois.

Wolanyo Kpo, PhD. [Grants, Program Design & Evaluation]. Dr. Kpo is a Professor of Management and consultant in Organizational Diagnosis, Organizational Development, Program Design & Evaluation, and Human Resources.  He has written many funded pres-school and youth grant proposals and has many years of experience as grant writer and program evaluator.

Vincent Osaghae, MBA,CPA, [Accounting & Finance]. Professor Osaghae is a Professor of Accounting and has extensive experience as a practicing CPA providing accounting, tax & financial services to individuals, youth, small and medium size businesses and non-profit organizations.

Lynette Elmes, MSA, [Research, Development & Community Partnerships]. Ms. Elmesis a multi-talented professional, experienced educator, accountant, researcher, social service worker, youth and adult literacy service provider, business start-up consultant.
